Posted September 06, 2018 07:08:00 The market for ticket sales for the 2018 Sydney Opera House opening has opened, with a selection of tickets being offered.
“Sydney Opera House is opening its doors to ticket buyers,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The first sale will take place on Wednesday, September 6 at 5:00pm, when tickets will be available on the general public and at select ticket offices.
Tickets will also be available at select venues including the Sydney Opera Theatre, the Sydney Theatre, The Australian, Sydney Opera, The Royal Opera House and the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Tickets will go on sale for the 2019 Sydney Opera in March.
Tickets for the 2017 Sydney Opera show will be on sale in March, while tickets for the first two months of 2018 will be sold in September.
Tickets have already been sold in the Sydney’s CBD and the Southbank for the opening.
Sydneys ticket office will also offer online reservations at 10am on Wednesday at ticketmaster.com.au, or in person at the Sydney Central Station ticket office from 8am to 10pm on Tuesday, September 3.
Sydrys opening is also expected to coincide with the Australian Football League’s (AFL) pre-season schedule, which is expected to be announced later this week.
A new “Sydrian Blues” series of free shows are being introduced by the A-League, including the first of five live performances by the Sydney Swans, Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory and Newcastle Jets.
